This read brings up a lot of good questions about sustainably moving forward. Ironically, it was a fortuitous sequence of events that brought Stephen through Oshawa, Ontario. While visiting The University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Stephen had the opportunity to speak with many students and faculty.
While participating with a Human Powered Delray event, Stephen was interviewed by Rich Leon of BikeCultureRising.com. Delray Beach, FL is really pushing forward…one of the most profound statements Stephen heard during the entire tour was in at Delray’s Green Council Meeting, “It is a shame that people in our community have to get into a car to get a loaf of bread.” Enjoy the read.
A few weeks before leaving on the tour Stephen Co-Hosted the Roger’s TV show #LdnOnt and had some fun with Lincoln.
Great day in Davidson North Carolina visiting Davidson University, The Davidson Green School, City Hall, and PiES. All to be followed up by dinner with Jon from Mad Hopps Nation. A beautiful town with beautiful people.

While cycling through Baltimore Stephen planted trees with the Baltimore Tree Trust, canvassed the city with the Baltimore Energy Challenge, met Baltimore’s Sustainability Leader, and spoke with students and faculty at UMBC where Andrew Brow wrote this article.
What a fantastic experience planting trees was with the Baltimore Tree Trust out front of the Goetze Candy Company. Fifth generation owner, Spaulding Goetze even brought us some CowTails to enjoy. Thanks for being a part of #RETHINK Tour.
“Never doubt that a small group of dedicated citizens can change the world, in fact they are all that ever has.” ~ M. Mead What an inspirational organization. Who knew that St. Marys, Georgia has one of the highest recycling rates in the country? Thanks for hosting the #RETHINK Tour Alex & crew!
While participating in the East Cost Greenways Annual Summit in Charleston, SC…Stephen and the crew took a cruise out to Sullivan’s Island where #RETHINK Rita made it to the beach/Atlantic Ocean!
This was fun. While #RETHINK Rita, Stephen’s ELF, was in the shop getting fixed. Jim Motavalli of CarTalk.com happened to stop by Organic Transit and decided to include the #RETHINK Tour in his article about the Elio, Elf, and Schweeb. “And in Durham I ran into the effervescent Stephen Szucs,” – J. Motavalli.
The East Cost Greenway is making strides as it works to complete it’s 2,900 mile trail from Maine to Key West. While visiting the ECG’s annual summit in Charleston, Stephen was highlighted in this ECG feature article by David Quick.
