I have 3 exciting things to share with you. Incase you though I was dead, the answer is no. I have however kept my head down over the past few months, had a few failures, a few success, and am excited to share today!
1 – Podcast
Kohji Nagata, Producer of The Bunz Podcast has offered to produce a podcast for SustainableJoes.
“Designing Tomorrow – Creating a sustainable future for all…
Told by the people building it today!”
We have recorded 4 episodes in the last two months, including a conversation last week with Ron Seftel – CEO of BullFrogPower. (Canada’s Largest Green Energy Provider.)
Steam Whistle Brewing has also come on board with support in the form of beer. Therefore in each episode, we will enjoy green beer while having green chats.
Bunz is taking care of primary distribution, while Johnny from Wolf Saga is allowing us to use his music for the podcast. (Also, keep your fingers crossed as Johnny was recently nominated for this years Indigenous Music Awards!)
Please consider joining the SustainableJoes family with monthly support via our Patreaon page. $5, $15, $25…all contributions are greatly appreciated, and in fact essential for moving forward as we currently have no sources of external funding.
2 – Upcoming Public Screenings
I first met Grant Linney at Al Gore’s Climate Reality training in 2015. Grant attended our Toronto Premiere, and has since spearheaded a free screening of our film in Hamilton, Ontario on April 19th. If are in the Hamilton area, you can RSVP here – http://bit.ly/2n6KYJk
Thank you Grant for making this event happen!
Event Sponsors Include: Hamilton Blue Dot, David Suzuki Fdn, EcoWHam, Hamilton/Burlington KAIROS Committee, Hamilton 350, Hamilton Council of Canadians, Environment Hamilton, Hamilton Public Library.
3 – Toronto Premiere Photos
Thanks to the support of many, our Toronto premiere was a sold out success. Smiles were all around, and the room was full of hope.
If you have yet to see pictures from the Toronto green carpet, you can check out the album at this link.
Full transparency, only in my wildest dreams did I imagine the premiere would be a standing room only event. Thank you one and all for making the eventing such a success!
Venue – Lula Lounge
Primary Premiere Sponsor – Calstone Inc.
Team – Many pictured above and in the album <3
Pertaining to the release of the documentary, I am waiting on word from one more distributor. In the meantime I will continue working every possible avenue.
Thank you all for your continued support. I hope you are as excited about the podcast as we are, new episodes bi-weekly.
